Although we’re two months into a whole new world, we still only understand a tiny fraction of how this will affect businesses and interaction the future. We aren’t sure yet what gyms and fitness as a whole are going to look like following the COVID-19 pandemic.
What we can do is share with you some of our plans here at Agatsu NC.
For the time being, we will continue offering our online class on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 9 AM.
We will begin seeing 1-on-1 clients once North Carolina allows gyms to reopen. Sarah and Greg will do their best to organize schedules such that only one trainer and one client are in the main room at a time.
We will also start to add regular classes back into the schedule once we reopen. However, this will be a gradual process — we will only be adding one regular class back in at a time. We will keep you posted once this starts happening! (Most likely it will be the end of June/beginning of July.)
In-person classes will be capped at 6 people. You will have a designated area for the workout, and there will be no sharing of equipment between athletes.
Following the workout, all equipment will be sprayed with a diluted bleach solution and cleaned thoroughly.
We also have an infrared thermometer and may implement that as a regular check at the door prior to classes. Bathrooms, doorknobs, and floors will be cleaned constantly.
We are a science and data-driven kind of gym anyway, so we intend to listen to the science when it comes to our COVID-19 approach, as well. That means keeping our gym and equipment clean, maintaining social distancing, and following the lead of our healthcare experts.
That’s all we’ve got for now! We’ll keep you posted as plans solidify.
